Great bunch of people, most of whom are descended from Lower Delmarva's earliest settlers.JamaGeniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16973656461323918279noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2225041894124630097.post-60990931222038129432009-06-07T11:41:21.390-06:002009-06-07T11:41:21.390-06:00P.S. I swear I read the above blog two times before posting, but when I reread it just now--there they were--those glaring errors.Olive's Granddaughterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01585283381637283335noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2225041894124630097.post-44955769005707078552009-06-07T11:20:51.656-06:002009-06-07T11:20:51.656-06:00Lindalee,

You are very sweet.

Marty,
I agree. I used to love to see the Bride pictures and read about the weddings. Why did newspapers do away with that?? So many lovely traditions are a thing of the past.Olive's Granddaughterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01585283381637283335noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2225041894124630097.post-86351683239596239062009-06-07T00:40:00.179-06:002009-06-07T00:40:00.179-06:00It's so fun that you write about things I love...It's so fun that you write about things I love to read about!

I'm sad we're losing this source of information. Newspaper obituaries often leave out vital facts. I realize it's the family who submits the obit, but I wish there were guidelines suggesting dates, names and places that people will search for later.

Society pages are almost a thing of the past, but that's where I've found valuable tidbits. Accounts of weddings used to include descriptions of homes, the father's job, the grandma's relatives . . . you can piece together a lot from details like those.Travelin'Omahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18415472674768977723noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2225041894124630097.post-35462751920729991712009-06-06T19:25:30.872-06:002009-06-06T19:25:30.872-06:00A new genealogy award for you over on Flipside.
